71. Collateral-free credit up to Rs 50 lakh to entrepreneurs; minimum 50% loan amount for female entrepreneurs and 25% for male entrepreneurs

Status: No substantial steps have been taken as yet to provide collateral-free loans of up to Rs 50 lakh to entrepreneurs. An RBI committee has suggested the government increase the loan limit to Rs 20 lakh under the MUDRA scheme, but the government is still to act even on this suggestion. ^{i ii}
