124. Creating essential devices list, separate pricing policy for medical devices

Status: While the government has taken price control initiatives to check the exorbitant trade margins on medical devices, no separate list of essential medical devices has been created in the past five years. However, the government did introduce the National Medical Devices Policy in 2023 to emerge as the global leader in the manufacturing and innovation of medical devices while maintaining their quality and affordability. ^{i ii iii iv}
