197. Reproductive and menstrual health services to women, sanitary pads at Re 1

Status: Under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janausadhi Pariyojana, the government has been offering biodegradable sanitary pads at Re 1 since August 2019. The government has also enacted three bills to protect women’s reproductive rights— the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (Amendment) Bill, the Assisted Reproductive Technology Regulation Bill and the Surrogacy Regulation Bill. ^{i ii iii iv}
